Lift off roof protected by roofing felt on the outside

The door is NEVER left shut while the heat lamp is on.

Insulated roof

Halogen outdoor light but you could use any light here, as house is watertight. The apex roof gives good clearance above lamp.

Lined with vinyl flooring to just above soil level

The roof is insulated with heat resistant insulation designed to withstand heat from car engine.

The lamp is about 30cm above shell height.

Notice the wood has rotted where it is unprotected from damp soil by vinyl flooring
