• They will find things to eat that they shouldn't.

• They can get stuck, trodden on or even lost.

• The floor is cooler than the rest of the room so temperature will not be suitable.

• There will not be consistent access to adequate UVB light.

• It is very stressful for them to not have their own familiar space.

• Carpet and smooth floors affect the way they walk and can lead to problems.
