Building the enclosure
We started by looking around the garden for a suitable place to build Molly a run. Alot of the places we looked at were uneven or didn't get the sun or were just wrong. We eventually settled on a crazy paving area between the back porch and the conservatory at the back of our house. It's more important to get morning sun than afternoon or evening sun.

We used the timber shown in the list of materials to build a wall across the area, screwing the lengths together with some very long screws .

For the 1st couple of months the electric cable was dangling out of a window, it was important that there was a 'U bend' in the cable to prevent water running into the electric socket in the kennel. Then we added outdoor sockets which is alot safer.

I took up a lot of the paving stones. The base was not a problem as Molly isn't really a digger. As you can see its alot less tidy now the plants have grown wild.

Mollys's 1st enclosure started with a 2nd hand kennel and a shower screen acquired from a skip. We have gradually added to it and improved thing as finances allowed. There is now more plants and a purpose built conservatory to replace the shower screen.
This is a video of how someone else constructed their boundary. It's not exactly how we did it but it gives you an idea. Thanks James.
